I recently started using the Aveda Brilliant shampoo and conditioner and also the Sedu Ultrapower hair dryer but my hair is POOFY after it’s dry. I can’t tell if it’s because of the Aveda hair products or the hair dryer. I know Aveda is supposed to be good but I don’t really like the smell and it doesn’t feel like it’s actually making a difference!

Not every product works for everyone. So it may be the products, if you usually hair dry. To be sure, why not try one day using the products and not hair drying then on the next use other products and hair dry.
Then you will find out for sure.

Just got my hair colored at the salon for the first time. I had highligts before. I have a huge bottle of Aveda Shampure that Iwould love to finish but the stylist said I should use a “color” shampoo. Will Shamnpure fit the bill?

probably not. look at really cheap hair products, because in my opinion you can’t even tell the difference, and most of them are color safe. it should tell you in the description on the back of the bottle.

My friend wants to make her hair auburn and hears that Aveda Madder Root can do the job. She already has red undertones in her hair. If it doesn’t, what shampoo does make your hair auburn? Also, can you include pictures of what medium skin tone looks like? My friend isn’t sure if auburn will look good on her because she isn’t sure what medium skin looks like.

You know a lot of girls use Kool Aid to dye their hair temporally,this may be a thing that your friend would like to consider doing.Just choose a shade that she likes,this is just an option since she’s not sure.

I bought the aveda shampure shampoo and conditioner and it made my hair greasy. I mean it was so greasy it looked like i just got out of the shower even though i had just blow dried it! So I exchanged it for the rosemary mint and it did the same thing. Has this happened to anyone else? What aveda shampoo gets rid of this since i have a store credit at the aveda store and want to try something new?

This has happened to me too, but not with aveda shampoo. It was something else.

One of my friends uses Aveda hair care products and they work wonders on her hair, but I want to try some samples and stuff first before I buy them because they are pretty expensive. Does anyone know where I can order some free samples or get some free coupons or anything? I tried the Aveda website but they only ship to the U.S. and I’m in Canada.

Background Info: I had been getting my hair done by a friend at a local salon where they didn’t use Aveda. Then yesterday I called an Aveda Salon and made an apt. To my surprise I got in the next day. My hair was ORANGE!!! (Not kidding!) All I said to my new stylist was that I would like highlights and maybe a deep condition. She made my hair look absolutely beautiful. She did lowlights and high lights. I love love love it.

My question is…. If you use Aveda, what type of hair do you have, do you get it colored/highlighted or what, what products do you use?

Do you use the Aveda makeup? Could you tell me anything about the acrylic products they use for nails?

i use aveda and i love the line. i use pure ambundance line. i purchase the shampoo, clay conditoner, hair potion, and hair spray. i love the results. i have no color in my hair. my hair is healthy and vibrant.

i also use aveda makeup. i love the lip replenishment stick. my lips are always moisturized and and it soothes my lips.
i also like the lip shine. on my eyes i have been wearing the petal essence eye duo in copper/riverbed. i use the inner light concealer to cover marks and blemishes. i dont really like makeup but on occasion i use the inner light dual foundation

i guess you can say im an aveeda lover. i even buy theri candles and fragrances. i also like that they use organic ingredients. i highly reccomend all of aveeda’s products.
